Designer: Doriana e Massimiliano Fuksas

Circolo Filologico Milanese
Via Clerici, 10

Altreforme presents Sissi and Otto, the new pieces created by the genius of Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas.

At first glance Sissi looks like a sculpture but the carefully superimposed elements are, in fact, five seats. And so, a purely aesthetic work of art becomes a functional group of five stools. Otto, on the other hand, explores the stylistic possibilities offered by quadrilaterals. Starting from the simple square the design evolves in a dynamic pattern, both a rectangle and a rhombus. Both of the pieces were designed in the name of sustainability: Sissi and Otto are in fact two eco-friendly products, made of 100% aluminium. Otto is also the first altreforme product based entirely on the idea of a circular economy, using metal sheets that can no longer be used in the automotive industry, made available to altreforme by its parent company, Fontana Group. Research, aesthetics and sustainability are three of the core values that Fontana Group shares with altreforme, and that are perfectly embodied in Sissi and Otto.

Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas lead Studio Fuksas, one of the most famous architecture studios in the world. The studio works on a striking variety of projects from large urban scale works to products.
