Universities, important brands, small creators of unique pieces: the design world responds to the invitation of Design Variations 2021, international event curated by MoscaPartners that takes place from September 4th to 10th in the context of Milano Design Week.
The Copper Room opens in the Cortile d’Onore of Palazzo Litta, which will be the theatre of the Casarialto Atelier exhibits, project launched thanks to the meeting of the best artisans in the glass sector and Tensoforma, brand with well-established experience specializing in the design and creation of architectural claddings.
The Casarialto Atelier project was born with the scope of elevating and emphasizing hand-crafted productions creating links and collaborations between different disciplines. The brand, founded by Catherine Urban, has been active since 2008 in the processing of glass, uniting its efforts with the experience of the best artisans of this field. If the objects decorated with glass mosaic and the vases in Cotisso glass are based on an aesthetic image nourished by Venetian tradition, the other pieces are the result of experimentation with different crafts and savoir faire such as hand-made mirrors and wood inlays, all in one choral exhibition.
The In-Tenso project transports Tensoforma’s experience from the size and breadth of external spaces to the intimacy of internal spaces. Even the name, in fact, comes from the desire to unite opposites and to explore new territories: the masterful lightness of the Tensoforma structure concentrates on the solid profiles of the internal panels, some of which designed by Gio Latis and Mario Trimarchi. Furnishing pieces conceived to divide and modulate daily spaces, adapting to the renewed needs of life and work.
