Pezo von Ellrichshausen in Concepción, southern Chile, is an interdisciplinary agency working at the interface of architecture and art. Founded in 2002 by Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen, it is known for designing individual houses and contextualising them in relation to their natural setting. This domestic-oriented approach and belief in the ‘reality of spaces within or around buildings’, reflects its philosophy about architecture’s role in enhancing the individuality of everyday living. Meanwhile, the abstract, geometric sensibility of their aesthetic engenders spatial experiences for the user to enjoy.
