A historical residence and meeting point of aristocrats, part of Palazzo Litta has been reimagined in a contemporary and informal way by Elisa Ossino Studio. Combining conviviality and a welcoming atmosphere, Bistrot Litta guests are seated at a 5m-long table to enjoy and experience the space as a place of sharing. In a niche, where visitors can take a break and chill, an unstructured and comfortable lounge comes to life with sofas and armchairs arranged around a Poseidon statue. Ossino’s interior design uses vibrant chromatic tensions to set the mood. Geometric patterns and a warm-toned palette are juxtaposed against the existing surroundings. From the bar counter to the wallpaper-covered screen, graphic signs overlap the high curtains. The result is a vivid and dense dialogue between the temporary intervention and the late Baroque architecture.
