“Andrea Cheniér” by Umberto Giordano
Palazzo Litta Cultura – 1 – 7 December 2017
In collaboration with: Ponderosa Music&Art
In the name of poetry, love and revolution, the Prima Diffusa aligns itself with the theme of the work presented at La Scala, Umberto Giordano’s Andrea Chénier.
During the evening of December 1st, spectators are welcomed in the courtyard of Palazzo Litta with readings by popular poets, authors and contemporary interpreters including David Riondino, Marco Rossari, Dargen D’Amico, while on the first floor, after the opening reading by Lella Costa, the public is immersed in the atmosphere of Andrea Chénier moving between the sumptuous baroque rooms in a visual and sound path curated by nudoecrudo teatro.
The spectators then enter a luxuriant and excessive world, populated by aristocrats in decline, walkers, musicians and dancers. They wander among the rooms, accompanying nobles and wig heads, admiring the performances of the court jesters and the graces of the dancers who dance to the baroque and contemporary music of the AltriArchi quartet.
