The Litta Variations / Opus 5 – News #6/2019 – 1400° Mitterteich, Dooor, Alp design

The Litta Variations / Opus 5
9 – 14 April 2019

As we proceed on our journey theough The Litta Variations | Opus 5 we meet more exciting new installations.

The design brand 1400ºMitterteich is the result of the meeting between designer Defne Koz and the historic porcelain producer Mitterteich. For the Litta Variations / Opus 5, 1400 proposes a range of tableware made exceptional by its sophisticated, contemporary design and excellent quality. Within the exhibition the company presents The Theater of Food – the five “Gourmet” collections designed by Defne Koz. After in depth discussions with a number of important chefs, the designer was inspired to create this range of plates and tableware. If the table were a stage then these pieces would be both the scenery and the actors that co-star with the food in the theater of the home and restaurants alike.

The collection of folding textile doors by the emerging brand Dooor maintains their extraordinary functionality while opening them up to new aesthetic horizons. Thanks to the latest printing techniques and the use of high-tech materials Dooor has created an architectural element that can become the focal point of any space influencing its atmosphere while still maintaining its, original function as a moveable room divider. The site specific installation Walk Out The Dooor by Calvi Brambilla enhances this dual reading of the folding textile door by creating two paths, one linear and one circular, leaving no doubts as to the versatility of this product and this company.
