THE CREATOR
Born in Ancona in 1956, Giacomo Giannini studies Architecture in Florence. After that, he starts to take photos for the most important design magazines such as Abitare, Domus, Interni and he creates advertising campaigns with big agencies. In 1985, he starts off in artistic field, working on architecture sites that is going to disappear titled, Geografie della memoria. From the second half of the Eighties, he specialises in air photography. He flies in helicopter over Italy, showing both the high aesthetic value and the decay of our land. Tourism, landscape and ecology are his main subjects, taking photos for his client such as Alitalia, Touring Club Italiano and Istituto Geografico de Agostini. In 1993, Palazzo Thiene organises a personal exhibition inside the main exposition called, Grandi Fotografi a Vicenza. His artistic activity goes on, participating in personal or collective exhibitions and in biennials.
