THE CREATOR
Tom Vack is an autodidact photographer born in Chicago, where he studies Architecture and Design at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle. From 1970 to 1987, he works with well-known graphic designers in the United States. After that, he moves to Europe, living between Italy and Germany. He works with renowned designers and architects such as Michele De Lucchi, Ingo Maurer, Philippe Starck, Ron Arad, Marc Newson, Luigi Colani, Alessandro Mendini, Andrea Branzi and Toshi Kita. In 2014, the Neue Sammlung in Munich dedicates to him a comprehensive retrospective exhibition called, Vanity of Object. Tom Vack Design Photography. Since 2013, he starts a parallel path with respect to design and architecture photography, creating a collection called OPenEYe, Art Project. In the following years, he participates in different exhibitions such as Mia Photo Fair and Photo Basel Virtual Edition.
