Three Variations of Design

Exploring the Future

Three exhibitions explored different perspectives on design and addressed the theme of how design could improve our future. Zaven’s installation on the façade of the Circolo Filologico Milanese encouraged visitors to “take a breath” towards the future. Palazzo Visconti featured an itinerary showcasing the use of natural and durable materials in the world of design. The Istituto Marchiondi Spagliardi, a Vittoriano Viganò brutalist masterpiece, was opened to the public for the first time as part of that year’s edition.

Breath

Through a system of hidden suction pumps, the mantra Object Speaks. Poems Act appears and disappears at constant intervals, like a breath, inviting the viewer to stop and meditate on the relationship between language, objects and their meaning.
