Open Air Design
Open Air Design, conceived by COIMA Image and co-curated with MoscaPartners at the Biblioteca degli Alberi in Milan, opens up design to a broad and inclusive audience. With the 2025 theme Frames of Nature, it brings together design, art, architecture, and nature through installations, performances, talks, and outdoor cinema, engaging companies and creative schools in an immersive experience.
A rich and varied program, featuring the talk Francesca Molteni in conversation with Alida Catella and Caterina Mosca, with special guests Giulia Foscari, Fabrizio D’Arpino, Giampiero Judica, Silvia Robertazzi, Antonio and Patrizia Marras, as well as additional talks with representatives from the 13 exhibiting companies and universities.
The film series, curated by Muse Factory of Projects, presents Italian and international documentaries screened by Cinevan, the Milan-based collective that brings cinema to streets, courtyards, and squares, creating moments of culture and shared experiences.

Alongside these activities, the new generations take center stage: the School of Design at Politecnico di Milano with the exhibition Fermo Immagine, the Luchino Visconti Civic School of Cinema with AI-focused workshops, and the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music with the final performance. Open Air Design invites citizens and visitors to discover design as a tool for collective transformation, within a park that stands as a symbol of inclusion, sustainability, and a shared vision for the future.
