On the occasion of Expo 2015
For the Milan Expo, Mosca Partners organized the fifth edition of Water Design in the spectacular courtyards of the Castello Sforzesco. The projects invite us to reflect on the theme of water as a precious source of life not to be wasted. The aim of the event was to promote and spread the value of design as a driver for a sustainable future among an audience of professionals, design followers, and a more general public.
The main installation realized by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel is a pool of water that alludes to a fathomless depth and reveals the cutout image of the 16th-century court. Under the portico, the surreal fresco floats in the shadows.

This is the total number of visitors counted at the entrance, of which 30% were architects and designers.
We selected and hosted 25 companies, 18 designers/architecs and 10 design school.
Mosca Partners has organized five editions since 2011, commemorating the Bologna Cersaie and Expo Milano.
